Senior Rifle

The NOSC Senior Rifle program offers both indoor smallbore (.22 caliber) and outdoor high power rifle shooting opportunities. Open to NOSC members, guests, and junior shooters, the program operates year-round with different schedules for winter and summer.During winter months, indoor smallbore shooting takes place at the NOSC range every Thursday evening at 7 PM. In summer, the program moves outdoors to South Cuyahoga Sportsman’s Club in Medina County, where participants coach and shoot with junior shooters.Key features of the program include:

  • Free participation for shooters under 18 years old, with no membership requirement
  • Equipment, ammunition, and coaching provided for junior shooters in most cases
  • Supervised by trained Range Officers with a focus on safety and marksmanship skills
  • Opportunity to practice various positions and courses of fire used in NRA and CMP National Match competitions

The program serves as an excellent complement to the NOSC Junior Rifle program, offering additional range time and experience. Participants can develop their skills in both smallbore and high power rifle disciplines, preparing them for potential competition in national-level events.
