Summer Archery Program

Join us for the Beginning Archery Program starting June 19th at the North Olmsted Sportsman’s Club! This summer program is designed for beginners and will provide essential lessons and coaching in the fundamentals of archery.

  • Open to Everyone: The program welcomes participants of all ages and is open to the public. Membership in the North Olmsted Sportsman’s Club is not required to participate.
  • Equipment Provided: Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, all necessary archery equipment will be supplied.
  • Schedule: The program runs every other Saturday throughout the summer, with sessions typically held outdoors. However, sessions may be moved indoors if weather conditions require it.
  • Session Details: Each session begins at 11:00 a.m., featuring 30 minutes of lessons and coaching, followed by one hour of open archery for practice and skill development.

    • June 19
    • July 3, 17, 31
    • August 14, 28
    • September 11, 25

The initial sessions will cover range safety and etiquette, along with assistance in selecting and fitting equipment for each participant.

Open Shoot

Open Shoot sessions are available for archers of all styles and skill levels, including crossbow users.

  • When: Open shooting takes place every Tuesday from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Additional weekend or evening sessions may be scheduled as needed.
  • Shooting Range: Indoor shooting distances range from 20 to 55 feet, while outdoor ranges can extend from 20 feet to 80 yards, thanks to movable target stands.
  • Support for Beginners: Experienced personnel are available to assist novice archers, ensuring everyone has a positive experience.
